On Setember 11, 2001 I was driving in my car with my two children ages 2 years and 9 months. We were on our way to my daughter’s first therapy session. We had just recently learned that she was severly hearing impaired. I was feeling a litle depressed. “How could this happen to my baby?” Seems to be the question that kept going through my head. I turned on the radio to quiet the kids and Bob and Tom started talking about the first plane. I was shocked. I remember thinking what a terrible accident and how could this happen? That’s when they started reporting that there had been another plane crash. I thought that Bob and Tom were just being Bob and Tom so I changed the radio station thinking that was a horrible thing to be joking about. I soon realized that it was not a joke but terrible attack on our Country. It made me realize that my daughter’s problem wasn’t a problem. My children were very lucky. I knew that many other children arround the country had just lost one or both of their parents. There is not a day that passes that I don’t think about those children and say a little pray for all the people who lost their lives or lost a someone dear to them. Thank you for allowing to share my story with all of you.
